Cat CT660 8x6- Pt.2

I took a trip to my local Lowes hardware store and bought 2 four foot long U rods for new chassis rails. I am scratchbuilding a body for it. First I printed the side of the cab in 1:10 scale. I cut it out and traced it onto .060 styrene plastic.

I did the same for the other side and make a back for the cab as well. I ran out of styrene so I will have to buy more.


I found specs of the truck in a brochure I downloaded off of the Cat website. Using the specs, I found the wheelbase and other handy measurements. The truck will have 4 axles, but will be 6 wheel drive. The second axle from the front will go up and down for weight. The wheels on this axle will move freely.
